Volkswagen has officially announced the production of ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE in its Saxony, Germany, plant, making it an exciting moment for Volkswagen fans to witness an innovative blend of EV performance and nostalgic design. Volkswagen ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE will be manufactured in limited numbers and will be sold as a special edition in the global market. As per the available details, it has been built at the Zwickau vehicle plant and Transparent Factory in Dresden, with production limited to just 1,990 units globally.

Volkswagen has collaborated with BONGER FIRE+ICE, the Munich-based luxury sports fashion brand, to develop this limited edition model. Similar to Golf II Fire and Ice, which had the bold styling cues, the ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE also brings bold styling design with modern EV taste. The goal of the German-based automobile manufacturer is to make this upcoming electric hatchback not only efficient and powerful but also a suitable option for limited edition car collectors and lifestyle-driven drivers.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE features a 210kW electric motor capable of delivering 286 PS. There is also another 240kW motor that churns out 326 PS of power output. Both versions have 545 Nm of maximum torque capacity, ensuring smooth acceleration. The more powerful version of ID.3 GTX can sprint 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and hit the electronically limited top speed of 200 km/h.
While optional in the entry-level version, the standard feature in the top trim is the sports DCC chassis that sharpens handling for those who require a real hot-hatch EV experience. The Volkswagen’s electric hatchback is powered by a 79kWh lithium-ion battery, offering up to 591 km of WLTP range. It also has fast charging capabilities as it can charge 10-80% in around 26 minutes at 185 kW DC fast stations.
Talking about the original model, the production of the ID.3 model began in late 2019, and it has been sold over 350,000 units so far in over 40 countries worldwide. The FIRE+ICE edition further adds a layer to make this car even more performance-focused with a combination of electric powertrain.
Volkswagen Unveils Next Generation T-Roc Compact SUV
Inside the cabin, the T-Roc now offers a feel of premium territory. The use of soft-touch materials, a refreshed cockpit, and ambient background lighting creates a modern, lounge-like environment.
Volkswagen has officially unveiled the next-generation T-Roc, the brand’s best-selling compact SUV. As part of the update, Volkswagen has reimagined the vehicle from the ground up to make it even more expressive, more innovative, and more premium compared to previous generation models. With a bold exterior profile, high-quality premium interior, advanced driver assistance features, and a new hybrid powertrain option, the 2026 T-Roc is ready to set the new standards of performance in the compact SUV segment.

Volkswagen T-Roc Exterior Design
The new Volkswagen T-Roc gets strong, clean lines and imposing design proportions. However, the signature coupe-like rear profile remains standard in the new generation as well, but the SUV has gained an additional 12 cm in length, offering a more dynamic stance and extra interior space.

The automaker has also made improvements in terms of lighting, as LED headlights have become standard across all available trims, and there is also an optional IQ feature.LIGHT LED matrix headlight setup that connects to the illuminated Volkswagen logo through a slim light strip.
Volkswagen T-Roc Interior & Tech Features
Inside the cabin, the T-Roc now offers a feel of premium territory. The use of soft-touch materials, a refreshed cockpit, and ambient background lighting creates a modern, lounge-like environment. There is also an updated 13-inch infotainment display that dominates the driver’s dashboard, providing clear and crisp graphics for seamless access to vehicle functions.
The new T-Roc also borrows innovations from its larger siblings, Tiguan and Tayron. These key features include the latest Driving Experience Control system, which allows the driver to fine-tune vehicle performance, and an optional head-up display that projects speed and navigation information.

With the expanded length, the interior now offers more space for passengers and luggage. It can easily accommodate passengers over 1.85m in height on the rear seats. For the first time, the Style trim gets an ergoActive seat with massage function. The luggage area has also improved, now offering 475 liters of cargo capacity, making it ideal for a small family and an active lifestyle.
Moreover, Volkswagen’s compact SUV is available in six paint finishes, including new Canary Yellow, Flamed Red, and Celestial Blue. There is also a black bi-color roof for added style. The automaker has offered an optional towing bracket that is capable of carrying heavy e-bikes, adding to the vehicle’s practicality.
The Volkswagen T-Roc is built on the brand’s latest MQB evo platform, which enables it to incorporate the latest technologies, including the latest version of Travel Assist, providing semi-automated driving and intelligent responses to speed limits. Some additional technological features include Park Assist Pro, which features a memory function for fully automated parking, an Exit Warning System, and enhanced driver assistance features.
New Volkswagen T-Roc Powertrain
Under the hood, the T-Roc now features a hybrid powertrain setup for European markets. At the launch, the customers have the option to choose between 48V mild hybrid engines (1.5eTSI with 116 PS and 150 PS). Volkswagen has also announced to add full-hybrid options for maximum efficiency and electric-only driving capabilities.
For performance car enthusiasts, the automaker has offered the T-Roc R and 2.0 TSI 4MOTION mild hybrid in its lineup, all of which are paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. As of now, Volkswagen T-Roc is available in four different trims: Trend for budget-conscious buyers, Life for comfort and practicality, Style for design and modern tech, and R-Line for sporty and performance features.
Market Launch & Showroom Pricing
In terms of pricing, the new Volkswagen T-Roc’s pre-sales orders in Germany began on August 28, with the official market launch scheduled for November this year. The showroom price of the T-Roc 1.5 eTSI (116 PS) has been set at €30,845 (approximately AED 131,900).
